KMA is working in association with design architects Mithun on a 100% affordable major new housing development at Hunters Point. The project will provide 112 units of residential rental housing within two buildings.

With community spaces critical to the project’s success, the design includes ample exterior courtyards and decks, and community gathering spaces. KMA is working closely with the landscape architecture team to create usable outdoor spaces with amenities for families and children, including play structures and landscaped courtyards. Another important element of the project is connecting the neighborhood with downtown San Francisco. Laying out the building’s form to take advantage of views of downtown will create a visual connection for Hunters Point residents.

KMA is working with Mithun as an integrated team on all aspects of the project. The project also involves working with McCormack Baron Salazar in partnership with Bayview Senior Services and the Bayview Hunters Point Citizen Advisory Committee. KMA has been able to bring the design team our knowledge of working with San Francisco city departments and with close urban infill sites.
